r/LiminalSpace is a publication design that explores the theories of liminal and transitional spaces and how a reddit community comes together to try to understand what makes a space feel liminal.

The publication acts as a documentation of the imagery and comments made by members of the community whilst encouraging the audience to experience the spaces between this community’s depiction of Liminal Spaces. Through not having a linear structure the book makes the viewer take time to evaluate the imagery and commentary to further their understanding of the topic. The idea being that the theory of what makes a space feel liminal is one that’s not so easily defined and evidently within the community, a widely disputed and personal feeling.

The publication is designed in a way to attempt to give the viewer an experience of being part of the community that pieces together the idea of liminality. By exploring the spaces between each page the audience is able to almost method act the reddit page through a piece of documentation.
